Credit Reports

Current laws allow you to obtain one free online credit report per year from each of the three main credit bureaus. Tip: make sure you are connected to a functioning printer so you are able to print your report when you receive your free report.

Credit Counseling

Pre-filing bankruptcy credit counseling is required for most filers & must be completed within 180 days of filing. There are numerous authorized providers, but we are currently recommending Access Counseling, Inc., who can provide a discounted rate AFTER you receive a unique "Attorney Code" from our office. 

Community Resources

The Greater Twin Cities United Way's 2-1-1 service can be a great starting point for anyone needing help getting household finances under control, with information about housing, employment, transportation, addiction counseling, health services, and a whole host of community resources.
